Over 150 Roads Impacted by Hurricane Melissa, Says Morgan

Minister with responsibility for works, Robert Nesta Morgan, says more than 151 roads across Jamaica were impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Of these, 134 remain blocked, 11 have been fully cleared, and 41 have been partially cleared.

Morgan explained that the National Works Agency (NWA) is still working to clear 82 roads. He added that priority is being given to roads leading to health facilities as well as air and sea ports.

The Minister urged patience from the public as the NWA continues its work amid serious challenges.
