Man charged for rubbing cop’s buttocks

A Corporate Area man is to stand trial in November, following allegations that he rubbed a policewoman on her buttocks.

It is alleged that earlier this month, the accused, Dave Ricketts, was being transported to the holding area of the Kingston Central lock-up, when he rubbed his hands on her buttocks. Ricketts is also in custody at the Corporate Area lock-up for unlawful wounding. When he made his first appearance in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Monday, Senior Parish Judge Sanchia Burrell noticed that he was gazing at the complainant.

"Okay, you can stop staring at her now Mr Ricketts," the senior parish judge said.

The accused man was remanded in custody until November 1, when the trial is expected to begin.
